1st Morden Scout Group
The cub section at the 1st Morden is run by 4 adults, of course there is an Akela, we have a Bagheera and a helper called Chilll. We have approx 15 cubs (boys and girls). We run an active varied program with equal amounts of badge work, games, fun activities, days out and camps.
The past 6 months
The cubs have taken part in the 80 for 80 camp run by Frylands Wood Scout Camp, they had the chance to try 80 activities over a long week and take part in wide games and the camp fire.
The Cubs have worked towards their Outdoor Challenge, the Fitness challenge, and tried a new game everyweek this term just past.
The cubs took part in a action packed Summer Group Camp where they did quad biking, poioneering, a farm visit and much more. We stayed at Streamside Scout Campsite in Lancing, West Sussex.
This coming term
We plan on running a pack holiday in a building if we get enough reponses from the Cubs, a day out to London, a museum visit and a day out walking in the term starting September 2009.
